They’ll work for elementary grades two to six. Mad Libs and fill-in-the-blank stories remind kids about parts of speech while being very entertaining. If you need to remind kids about the gist of the parts of speech, start with these basic explanations… nouns = person, place, or thing
verbs = action
adjective = describes something (color, size, smell)
plural = more than one (add an s or es) Remind kids that they’ll trade papers with someone. One person asks the other person for the parts of speech and fills the words into the story.
