Made a couple of orders that were time sensitive so i made them over a month in advance.
they are still processing the order and i needed them for this last weekend so now they are useless.
The other order has never gotten to me because they screwed up the address and now they are lost.
No telephone to talk to someone
No refund on their mistakes
beware and stay away.

May 29, 2024NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. As soon as something goes wrong with your print (despite previous prints being perfectly fine) they will try and make out the error is your fault. They have lost a customer for life who has spent nearly £2000 in under a month and a half by not reprinting my order after sending an erroneous/misprinted copy. USE MPC AT YOUR OWN PERIL

I was able to see a clear proof of my order, asked customer service questions that were promptly answered, and my orders (I've done two now) both arrived early and looked great. Colors are spot-on, card quality is high. I will definitely order from them again.

Jul 1, 2024ZERO customer service and NOT a quality product. I created a deck and while the process was pretty easy, the finished product is crap. The edges of the cards started getting bent and dog-eared after the first couple of uses! I tried contacting the company and never heard back from them. I would not recommend this company and I will find someone else to produce my card deck.

Sep 20, 2023Perfect, they did an awesome job printing these cards out, they even let me know that I may have some issues with printing as I originally didn't use their Card Designer through Photoshop. After allowing me to fix mistakes, they printed them off and received them really quick. Super happy!

Jan 25, 2024I’m surprised how many negative reviews there acc are because mine arrived way before the expected date (I’m in the UK) and they came literally perfect. The only thing I would change is the process of making the cards as I did 150 custom cards against humanity for my friendship group and the making of them was slightly tedious so I messed up the position of the text on a couple of them. Still worthy of the 5stars tho imo

To evaluate whether or not I should use their service for my own game project, I've tried to use their service with mpcfill to make playtest copies of some Magic cards.
It turned out perfect, including more challenging and vibrant printing. Will most certainly use them for producing my own card-based tabletop RPG game!

Jul 7, 2023I mean, I wish there was a minus five rank option here. Here's why:
- it feels like the website hasn't been updated for DECADES. Super old, super slow, super frustrating technogy, super bad UX. Everything gets stuck, my uploaded images aren't automatically saved (but take minutes for each image to upload), just to name a few.
- shipping is super duper expensive. 70$ for a lightweight box? WTH
- Support are trying to help but take a lot of time to get back to me. They promised it'll arrive by July 7th, well, it hasn't arrived yet..
I would have gladly paid 30%-50% more to their competitors if I knew it'll consume so much time and energy for me to complete my (still not arrived) cards game.

Despite paying expedited shipping, the cards arrived late, they were printed wrong, the booklet ordered came with gross marks all over it - SUBPAR QUALITY, ZERO customer service. You're better off hiring a 2-year-old to color them and cut them out for you.

Nov 15, 2023I ordered my cards and they came exactly as I had designed them, and also earlier than the expected delivery period! I'm really pleased with them. The other negative reviews did make me worry initially, but my own experience with this company has been really good.

Jun 9, 2023Their printer doesn't work right and they have no QA to stop mistakes from leaving the factory. Expect off-position images. And if they mess it up, you will be expected to buy another deck at full price and hope they don't mess it up again.

Oct 18, 2023I refuse to use this company anymore. If you use their marketplace to sell your product, they will not pay you unless YOUR profits exceed $100 (but will happily take the money they made off your IP on those sales). Yup! THEY SOLD YOUR PRODUCT AND PAID YOU NOTHING. Their excuse is:
"It’s company policy and very common practice and strategy to promote user activity. It’s not practical to pay on demand for a company on a case by case basis as it increases work, cost and confusion."

Jul 23, 2020MAKEPLAYINGCARDS.com is TERRIBLE. I spent over $2000 on decks that showed up faulty. All the cards were stuck together and the gold glit edges had glitter powder EVERYWHERE. Very low quality. Company refused to reprint the decks and only offered a partial refund of $590. Notice they don’t have reviews anywhere only “testimonials” that you have to submit to them and they approve! They do not stand behind their products or honor their supposed “quality guarantee”. And the cherry on top is I have no where to leave a review or my experience with them because they don’t have real reviews!
Find somewhere else to get you cards printed.

Feb 1, 2024Not a great experience thus far. I ordered 1 (one) deck on my initial order - a test run. It was good. Product was good but very odorous (chemicals). So then I ordered 50 more decks. Then the problems began. First I received an email requesting my SSN. Naturally, I ignored it. Then a week later, I received a threatening email basically stating that if I don't provide SSN then their just going to sit on it. Wow! It wasn't a requirement on my first order. I've basically just wasted a bunch of time and money with these people.

The custom card builder on the website is better than anywhere else I could find.
They arrived on time.
They are exactly as I designed them.
The quality of the print is good, sharp for the material I chose.
The colours are accurate.
Pretty happy with these cards!

Dec 12, 2021I’ve had a couple custom art tokens for mtg printed a couple times and have been satisfied with each printing.
I do wish there was another way to tell the quality of the paper used and the surfaces for somebody who doesn’t know much about printing.
The other day I uploaded an order of 22 custom cards and a custom card back for “Deck of Many Things” in the tarot size cards. I’m excited to see how these ones turn out. I also ordered a tin case with them too.

Mar 8, 2023Will not print any copy righted images (makes sense) "or anything similar". Literally every image can be considered similar to something that's copyrighted so whats the point of custom cards?

It took me some time to prepare the files with the correct resolution and bleed area and then upload them to the site, but the instructions are clear and the result is spectacular. I was afraid of defects and misalignments and instead they are perfect. They are so defined, vivid and cut precisely that I am touched.
